The Challenges
MSP’s and office technology dealers are a dime a dozen, and all of the services sound exactly the same to customers. Unfortunately for a unique company like Klik, public perception is the biggest challenge to growth. How could we help their personality shine through?
Solution
Let's have a party! We created an event around the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament to showcase the 2 unique keys of Klik - the ability to talk outrageous tech to non technical people, and awesome personalities. An event to highlight their authentic, unique focus on making a personal impact on buyers, customers, vendors, and ‘friends of the program’ to generate new business opportunities.
The Results
Event grew to over 285 attendees in less than 3 seasons
Raised over $2500 to support Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Baltimore at last event.
Increase in brand awareness, buzz, excitement around Klik.Solutions and their people.
Annual even displaced a large IT company's standing ‘vendor day’ at M&T Bank Stadium. Their guests came to the Klik event year after year.
570% Increase in Attendance
Event participation increased from 50 guests in year one to over 285 by the third year with steady attendance year after year.

The Client
Klik.Solutions is Managed IT Services company with nationwide clients that was growing primarily due to word of mouth and local network marketing. They provide technology support, services, cloud, and technology sales to small, mid market, and enterprise level customers. Their unique selling proposition is a combination of outstanding technical chops and a culture focused on customer experience.
With a limited marketing budget but solid local and vendor contacts, we determined the most effective way to connect the 'soul' of Klik with new prospects was to host a personal event.

What did we do?
As the Klik outsourced CMO from early in their inception, we had unique, personal insight into the strengths of the organization. We worked with Klik leadership to dig into 'who' their customers were, how they were acquired, and what they loved about the company. Combined with a review of our best performing marketing initiatives we agreed that the best means to connecting Klik with new opportunities was an exciting, organic event. Since many Klik customers were sports enthusiasts, we decided to create an event around an annual weekday tradition - the opening Thursday of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Ultimately, the Klik.Solutions event evolved into the 'must attend' event of the year in the Baltimore business community.
Major Strategy Components
01Core focus was on creating a positive experience to benefit all of our guests. The intentional 'non salesy' atmosphere was intended to promote interaction between our guests to their benefit over Klik.
02Open house, casual format for more social interaction and greater flexibility for attendees. This was, after all, a workday afternoon event.
03Selected a location that was interesting, intimate, and comfortable. Where guests could network and mingle in a large group, or break off into smaller groups to watch more of the game action.
04Strategic audience mix of clients, prospects, vendors, and 'friends of the program' to enable beneficial in person engagement, and effective networking opportunities. All under the Klik.Solutions brand.
05Work with Klik technology and service vendors to secure event sponsorship and increase promotion. This introduced our guests to the partners Klik trusts to support their customers in a low pressure atmosphere.
06Leveraged large attendance to promote awareness and raise critical funds for The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore by incorporating an auction at the event. Items included local sports memorabilia and items gifted from local partners, vendors, and even Klik employees.
